Breaking news: Ireland’s guitar wizard Gerry Quigley has been invited to play a second show for his festival debut at Ireland’s prestigious Blackstairs Blues Festival in Enniscorthy Co.Wexford in September. Along with visiting bluesman and drummer extraordinaire Jim Finn from Sydney, Australia this promises to be something special.
The Gerry Quigley & Jim Finn Band is a seasonal collaboration of the two,
and consists of Dublin-born Gerry Quigley on guitar and things with strings, Jim Finn (Australia) on drums and lead vocals, Sharon Quigley on keyboards (also from Australia) and Gerry’s fellow “Dub” Bryan Hyland on bass.
The Gerry Quigley & Jim Finn Band will play a mix of captivating progressive blues-rock instrumentals from the “half-mad Irishman” Quigley, along with Finn’s original blues and a great selection of the best of blues classics. Friday 8th September in Rackard’s Bar and on Saturday 9th September at Houlihan’s Bar.
